Samsung INNOV8 i8510 hands on by BGR

Despite its overwhelming features, the Samsung INNOͥ i8510 is still widely unavailable in the North American region, and if you’re looking to get one, our best bet is to head on over to London. However, for those seeking to hear about its performance first before actually going out to get one, we’re happy to let you know that BGR has come out with their hands on take on the INNOV8.

They’ve got no qualms about its brilliant display, optical joystick, sound quality and the ₨ FP2, but what’s unfortunate to hear is that it lacks US 3G connectivity. They’ve also noted that some ₨ applications don’t work on it, but we figure a simple patch can easily resolve this problem as opposed to the lack of a quad-band 3G feature. They also found it to be a little bit uncomfortable to use when slid open and the custom home screen isn’t to their liking as well. If you’d like to see more of the INNOV8, check out BGR’s hands on gallery.

I guess most of the misgivings they found on the INNOV8 is a bit subjective, and others can probably look past it over decent performance. Unfortunately, whatever good it has to offer will sorely be missed if it doesn’t become available across different parts of the globe. That’s one thing that Samsung should definitely work on.
