Apple updates iPhone Safari browser in firmware 2.2

It looks like Apple has decided to include the Safari browser in the list of features it’s going to update in firmware 2.2. While I have little to complain about its performance, I must admit that any further enhancements to it will be most welcome. According to the information we were able to gather, the address bar as well as the search box will now always be present making it a lot easier to change websites and do searches. The refresh button will also be relocated to the inside of the address bar instead of outside.

These are all very minimal changes, if not insignificant, and I do wish they include a desktop and mobile mode as well as cut/copy/paste functionality in future updates for the browser. Anyway, maybe we’ll hear more about it in the coming days.
