Two new laptops introduced by Toshiba feature the EasyGuard Technology package, which provides several enhancements for security and accessibility. For example, the display has a more durable construction, the keyboard is spill-resistant, unauthorized access to your data is prevented by the fingerprint reader, while the Trusted Platform Module encrypts your hard drive.

The ConfigFree software works together with the wireless antenna to help you connect to the Internet fast and easy switch between connection profiles. Work productivity on the go is also enhanced with the one-touch presentation button, shortcut keys, and a power saving tool for when you need to operate the laptop during a long trip. In addition, the system comes with the PC Health Monitor, a tool in charge with tracking the internal components’ status, including colling, processing temperature and battery life.

The 14.1-inch Toshiba Tecra M10 and the 15.4-inch Toshiba Tecra A10 are high-performance systems designed for business users and optimized with the Intel Centrino 2 processor technology with vPro, business card readers and Face Recognition.

Inside components include 7200 RPM fast hard drives, NVIDIA Quadro NVS 150M with TurboCache and 256MB dedicated memory, built-in 1.3MP web camera with macro functionality and the Presto! BizCard Reader 5 software, and the USB Sleep-and-Charge/eSATA Combo Port. The latter enables transfers between the laptop and external hard drives at 5 times faster speeds compared to the USB 2.0 technology. It also allows you to charge mobile devices even when the laptop is turned Off or in hibernation.

Toshiba Tecra M10 has a retail price of $1,299, while the Toshiba Tecra A10 retails at $1,499, both coming with a 3-year warranty.
