Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1a shipments delayed to January 2009
We’ve got bad news for those who are still hoping to snag a Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 before Christmas Eve. According to words to BGR from a Sony Ericsson concierge, the X1 will not be shipping until the 9th of January 2009. To further corroborate the delayed release, SonyStyle.com has already posted a shipping date of January 12, 2009.
Whichever date is true, it looks like it’ll fail to meet the scheduled ̮ 2008 release date in North America. While this latest development may not bold well with Sony Ericsson fan boys, it does give hesitant buyers a chance to look at the other offerings currently available in the market which, at its price point, makes theBlackBerry Javelin or even the BlackBerry Bold a very decent alternative.
