Asus Galaxy 7 phone review courtesy of Mobile Review
When we first saw the Asus Galaxy 7, we can’t deny that it got us a little bit excited, but as the months went by and it wasn’t released on time, it didn’t take long for us to quickly forget about it. However, it seems that the Galaxy 7 may be inching closer to reality as Asus has provided Mobile Review with a unit to try out.
Based on their take on it, it’s a pretty decent device. The build quality is impressive and so is their version of the TouchFlo 3D interface known as the Glide. Unfortunately, the initially publicized 800MHz processor got the axe and in its place is a 528MHz processor. It’s not that remarkable, but good enough to get the job done. The rest of the specs such as the 5-megapixel camera, HSDPA, and WiFi were untouched and remain intact in the Galaxy 7.
The question now is; when will it become available? Previous reports said it was going to be released in October, but that was obviously off base. Now, Asus is saying it’s going to make an early 2009 debut. Yeah, we’ve heard that before. Just tell us when everything’s definite and only then will we pop the bottle of champagne.
