Lost Planet 2 exclusive to Xbox 360, features 4 player co-op
Chalk this one down as rumour because in a recent press release, in which Capcom supplied some details about the sequel to Lost Planet, there was no actual mention of the word “exclusive”, except the fact they used Xbox Live to “exclusively” make this announcement.
Capcom stated last year that the publisher would be focussing all future titles on multiple platforms instead of single platform exclusives. This and the fact that Capcom either refuses to comment or mention the exclusivity of the game itself.
Moving away from which consoles will be getting to see the snowy FPS, the information brought to light by Capcom sounds rather tantilising. Apparently, we can expect to see many features from the 1st instalment being brought forward and enhanced for Lost Planet 2. The game will also be built around the MT Framework 2, a newer more enhanced version of the MT Framework used for the original Lost Planet.
The most enticing new feature is the addition of a co-op mode, this will support up to 4 players working as a team to complete campaigns. While little more was detailed regarding this feature, it sounds like a great improvement over the original already.
