Lenovo MRT800
Lenovo is building laptops, right? It seems no, because the Lenovo MRT800 is something different. Pretty close to a laptop, but also pretty far. A media player from Lenovo!?! Damn, this really means we’re in a crisis!

I’ve seen Porsche coming up with that silly Cayenne, then I’ve seen Jaguar being bought by Tata Motors. Now, the time has come for Lenovo to release a PMP! I don’t even want to think about the things I may end up seeing in the near future…
…but let’s take a look at the Lenovo MRT800 specs, recently uncovered by PMP Today:
- 4.3-inch 480 x 272 touchscreen
- RM/RMVB, AVI, ASF, MP4, FLV video
- MP3, WMA, OGG, APE, FLAC, WAV audio
- TF expansion of up to 4GB

AVI and FLV aren’t bad at all, and if we also think about FLAC and APE support, we’re already in a better position than the iPod Touch is! Unfortunately, Lenovo didn’t come up with a “cool” design, but the features are cool enough for me. Unfortunately, there’s no word out about pricing and availability, but my guess is that, for up to $250, the Lenovo MRT800 would be a pretty good choice.
