The Sony Ṕ is creating headlines in the techie world. And, watchers all over the world are reviewing the much awaited product. It is all set to storm the gaming world The CNET Editor has awarded the Ṕ 8.8 out of 10 with 9/10 for design; 9/10 for features; and 8/10 for performance.

There are two versions of the PS3 and the 20GB version retails for USD 500 while the 60GB version for USD 600. According to gaming gurus it is too early to say what the PS3 will achieve, the sane advice is to wait a year before passing any judgments.

The hardware is state-of-art and impressive. The PS3 has:

A cell processor that is very advanced and is all set to support GenX computer entertainment. And instead of using off the shelf Pc components the PS3’s 3.2 GHz Cell processor was built from scratch just for the PS3. A joint effort between IBM, Sony, and Toshiba the processor has a core with seven synergistic processing units. The power extended by the cell will provide spectacular realism to the games and realistic effects.

Dolby sound of 5.1 ch with DTS and LPCM.

Giga-bit Ethernet with a pre-installed hard disk drive. This will enable downloading of content from the World Wide Web and play online with competitors all over the world.

Output and input ports support displays from NTSC, PAL, and HD relays.

A noise level matches that of PS2 and is incredible.

A cell processor that can play from a blue ray disc at bit rate of 48Mbps.

Controllers that are high precision, with sensitive six-axis motion, and technologically perfect sensing. The controllers are wireless and as many as seven controllers can be connected to the Ṕ via the blue tooth. What more the controllers have a range of 65 feet. The controllers can be recharged easily by connecting the USB cable. The player can continue to play while the controller recharges. The L2 and R2 buttons are larger giving greater game control. The increase in tilt of the analog joy sticks allow for greater control and wider range of motion. The most welcome feature is the six axis motion.

An interface that is user friendly and aesthetic. However, certain features are hidden below several levels.

A digital media hub with a blu-ray player. The 60GB Ṕ can read digital photos from USB devices, digital cameras, CDS and more. The system has an impressive internal media reader, photo and album viewer, and the Wii. The hub supports an astounding variety of music files including MP3s. ATRAC, AAC, and WAV. What more the Ṕ will play Blu-ray disc with high definition and clarity.

As far as first reviews go the PS3 is all set to be the greatest gaming and media entertainment console. It will take home entertainment to the next level of excitement and challenges.

Getting the Most Out of the Internet Channel With Your Nintendo Wii

Lorna Goldsborough asked:

e great features about the Nintendo Wii is that it features a variety of different channels you can use. They are very similar to how you turn on various TV channels with your remote control. The Wii comes with the Wiimote that you will use the same way. You can use it to access a variety of channels on your Wii.

The internet channel is one that many people will get plenty of use out of. You can surf the internet for Nintendo related stories and products. You can also look at anything you desire. Some people have the misconception that they will only be linked to the sites that have Nintendo associated with them. However, that is simply not the case at all.

With the first release of the Wii many consumers weren’t really happy with how all this worked though. Sure, they liked being able to access the internet from their Wii but it was harder than doing so from their home computer. The screen on the TV was used to type in what you wanted to search for.

One feature that they really did like was the parental controls. This way children were only able to access certain sites and to connect with approved individuals to play games against on the internet. This makes sense as parents should always be monitoring what their children are accessing on the internet.

One of the accessories that Nintendo now offers that makes it much easier to use is the USB keyboard. You can plug it right into the console and type on it just like you would with your computer. This can be purchased for about $40 so it is quite a good investment. There is no limit to what you can do with this set up either. It even allows you to copy and paste links so that you don’t have to type them in. With so many characters mistakes can easily happen if you are doing it that way.

Do you need to send someone an email? Do you need to research something online? There is no difference between this and using your home computer. How many times have you needed to use it and someone else in the family is already sitting in front of it? Having such a set up can definitely take that problem out of the equation. Families seem to depend on the internet more and more these days.

They use it for both fun and for pleasure. Nintendo has certainly gone out of their way to put technology to use with this feature. It is certainly something you won’t find with the other home gaming consoles out there. You can be sure this is one feature that they will continue to update as necessary as well.

If you have an older version of the Internet Channel for your Wii you can purchase the upgraded version online for a very low price. You can access it using the Wii Shopping Channel. This is definitely one feature that you will get plenty of use out of all the time. You can’t find a quality computer for $250 but you can have the full Nintendo Wii gaming functions as well as the internet. That seems like quite a good investment to me!

Lorna Goldsborough asked:

intendo Wii games with your friends and family is a great way to spend some time. While you are will be messing around with each other you will also be improving your strategies. Do you ever wonder how your gaming skills stack up against others out there?

One way to find out is to enter various Nintendo Wii competitions. These are really fun events that will allow you to find out. You may already compete against people online so you are used to that. Yet you aren’t going against the best of the best which you will in those competitions.

Some of them will require you to have a certain amount of points on a given game before you can register for the competition. If you aren’t at that level yet then keep on practicing. As your skills improve you can look for other Nintendo Wii competitions to sign up for. They are quite popular so they are going to be around for a very long time.

You may find some of them offered locally at retail stores and gaming stores. They will likely have a limited amount of slots for each age group so make sure you sign up early. There will also be specific rules that apply for each competition so make sure you are well aware of them. You don’t want to end up being disqualified due to not following the rules that were posted.

Most of these types of Nintendo Wii competitions are designed to further promote the gaming system. Some of them are also set up to promote new games that may not be taking off as well as Nintendo has anticipated. It is very likely that the winners of these competitions will end up winning Nintendo Wii games, accessories, and even gaming consoles for their efforts.

You will also find there are many online Nintendo Wii competitions that you can take part in. You may need to surf around to find those for the particular games you are the most interested in. This can be your time to really show off your stuff. There are fabulous prizes including trips and cash for the winners too.

You shouldn’t have to pay to sign up for the various online Nintendo Wii competitions. Shy away from any of them that ask for a membership fee or an entry fee. Always verify that you are registering for a legitimate Nintendo Wii competition. Sadly, there are some scammers out there that will try to take advantage of innocent people who don’t take the time to do so.

There are such competitions for both children and adults. Since they are online it really isn’t possible to verify the ages of those playing. However, you do have to agree to a release form that states you are indeed part of the age group that the Nintendo Wii competition is for.

Children will also need the permission of their parents to participate in these activities. IT can be a great way for your entire family to rally around them and cheer them on for such an event. You will need to take a look around online to find out when such competitions are taking place. The rules can vary for each one so make sure you pay attention to that as well.

It seems like this concept is becoming more popular than ever before. In fact, you can expect to see some big events sponsored by Nintendo in the next couple of years. Most of them will be to promote their newer games and to make sure the interest in the Nintendo Wii doesn’t wane. They have to do all they can to stay ahead of the competition.

Nintendo is also very interested in individualizing the gaming experience for people. So these types of Nintendo Wii competitions are just one more way that they can do so. They want to make sure people feel like they are a part of the game instead of just someone sitting there with a controller in their hands playing it.

Reasons to Buy a Nintendo Wii

Lorna Goldsborough asked:

e still up in the air about buying a Nintendo Wii there you may need to hear more about the various benefits of it. This isn’t your typical video gaming system where you sit around and hit a combination of buttons until your hands are sore. Instead it offers fun for the entire family. There are games that people of all ages can play and that they will enjoy playing with each other.

The Nintendo Wii is the smallest of all home gaming consoles. Therefore it isn’t going to take up very much room at all. It also allows you to surf the internet which is a great feature you wouldn’t expect from this type of electronic device. Worried about the kids sitting there playing it all day? Not a problem if you have the Nintendo Wii Fit program. These are interactive games that get you off your seat and moving your feet.

There are plenty of terrific games you can choose from as well. Love those older versions of early Nintendo games? Not a problem as you can download them to the Wii and continue to enjoy them. Have a Nintendo GameCube? Those games are compatible with the Wii so you won’t need to have both of them hooked up to be able to enjoy all those games. You can also go shopping for the newest Nintendo Wii releases that have captured your attention.

The Nintendo Wii is very well built too so you can be sure it is going to last a very long time. There are updates that go automatically to your gaming console so you always have the best features available. There have been some recalls on items such as the wrist strap for the wireless remote. These have been done in order to continue making sure everyone is as safe as possible.

With all the this home gaming console offers you would expect to pay a very high price for it. However, they have been able to keep the price between $200 and $250. The games and the accessories vary depending on what you want. Newer games tend to cost the most due to the high demand for them.

You will find many fun accessories too that make using this gaming system better than ever. For example you can use a steering wheel, the mat for the dancing games, and the fitness features for interactive playing. There is no shortage of fun or possibilities out there when it comes to the Nintendo Wii.

With some products you are just left on your own once you pay for them. However, that isn’t the case with the Nintendo Wii. You will have access to support members online and on the phone. They will assist you with anything you need so that you can get back to enjoying your games.

If you are considering buying a Nintendo Wii don’t hesitate to do so any longer. Once you get one you will be bummed out that you didn’t have it before. You won’t be disappointed with such a purchase either as there is so much to offer. Millions of them have been sold all over the world. The demand for them continues too which just goes to show you are investing in a really great product.

Problems Consumers Have Experienced With the Nintendo Wii

August 16, 2008

nintendo wii
Lorna Goldsborough asked:

t people out there are very happy with their Nintendo Wii some consumers have found it isn’t what they expected. The good news is that these seem to be isolated incidents instead of a problem with the development and technology that was used to create the program.

It seems that the most common problem that people experienced with the Nintendo Wii had to do with the power source. It simply wasn’t fitting properly and therefore not enough power was supplied. Imagine being in the middle of a very competitive game and then you lose the power to it. Not something you want to experience on a regular basis. Nintendo has changed the design for the adapters though with the newer consoles. Anyone with an older one that offers such trouble can ask for a new one to be sent to them free of charge.

For some individuals, their Nintendo Wii has been working just fine for a very long time. Then suddenly they start to experience error codes that pop up. Sometimes this is an indicator that your Wii needs to have work done on it. However, most of the time it is due to a glitch with an update that occurred. Since Nintendo sends such updates automatically to your system you may not even be aware that they took place.

For example when they updated the connection to the internet recently these errors were coming up all over the place. In many cases this can be reset and you are on your way. Some people have had to either send their Wii in to be repaired at no cost or Nintendo sent them a new one for free though. There weren’t too many of them though were a patch wasn’t able to repair the problem without any action on the part of the consumer though.

A few people have purchased Wii consoles that didn’t work at all. They were doing everything right but they just got a bad system. Even though Nintendo does test them at the factory a bad one does slip by now and then. Such issues are easily resolved though by returning the first gaming console to the retailer or by contacting Nintendo directly. It can be disappointing but you won’t have to be worry about losing out on the money you paid for it.

While it is unfortunate that some consumers have experienced problems with the Nintendo Wii, it is to be expected with any product of this magnitude. The good news is that Nintendo is going to offer you their full support on getting the situation rectified. You will find plenty of good reviews about this all over the internet. While it won’t be fun when you have such problems, knowing you can get great customer service does make a big difference.

Nintendo also takes the situations that seem to be a common theme and makes them better. One of these issues has to do with the wrist strap to hold the Wiimote in place. A common complaint was that it was very weak. Therefore Nintendo developed a stronger one that is offered with the consoles on the market now. Consumers can go online or call to request that a replacement is sent to them at no charge as well.

The Market for the Nintendo Wii

August 11, 2008

nintendo wii
Lorna Goldsborough asked:

the Nintendo Wii have exploded since 2006 when it was released and they don’t seem to be slowing down. In fact in many parts of the world there is still more of a demand for them than the supply. In areas where they haven’t been released yet people are paying for them on the black market. Many people in Canada are on a waiting list to get their hands on one.

The company itself didn’t even envision it being as popular as it is. While they did anticipate being highly successful they also knew they had some stiff competition from both the Xbox and Playstation 3. However, there are many benefits that the Nintendo Wii offers that those don’t. The fact that anyone from the age of 3 to 105 have played the games successfully really says a great deal about the Universal use of it.

Even though Nintendo doesn’t need it, many celebrities and professionals around the world have admitted to playing the Wii. Some of them you wouldn’t expect such as Queen Elizabeth II. Others include tennis pro Serena Williams, movie writer and director Steven Spielberg, and comedian Conan O’Brien.

Some believe that Nintendo wasn’t sure of themselves at all with the Wii. They assume that is why they limited distribution of them in the beginning. It was a smart move though in the event that there were unforeseen problems. They didn’t want a mass recall on their hands after all the money they had invested in these gaming systems.

Others believe it was a powerful marketing strategy. After all the demand for a product always seems to increase when the supply isn’t readily available. By only releasing a set number at a time it really get the buzz going for them. Yet with the frenzy that took place in late December you would have thought that there were only a handful of them being released at a given time.

Therefore it may surprise you to discover there were 1.8 million of them being released each month. With the presales in the United States that took place in November of 2006 where people could order them in advance though there was a backlog from the very start.

More than 28 million homes and businesses around the world now own a Nintendo Wii. There is no doubt that it will continue to be a very successful product. You can be sure Nintendo won’t stop here either. They are going to continue adding new features and making modifications. They know their competitors are closely on their heels and they don’t want to be removed from their seat at the top of the mountain.

One feature you will see down the road is the Nintendo Wii available in various colors. It has only been offered in white so far. However in the next few years you will also see it in black, lime green, silver, and a bright shiny red. These colors were to be part of the initial release. However, Nintendo decided not to do so due to the overwhelming demand for the gaming systems. They wanted to focus on meeting that demand rather than color specifications.

There has been plenty of consumer feedback regarding the ability to play DVD’s on the Wii as well. It is in the works to release and updated version down the road that will play both DVD’s and Blu-Ray discs. This project was to be started in 2008 but has been moved back to 2010. That way they can continue to work on meeting the demand for the current model that is out there.

To their credit, Nintendo has continued to make the Wii very affordable. Generally you can get the gaming console for about $250. With the high demand for it they could easily be making more profits than they are. However, their goal is to provide a way for families to have fun. They are certainly continuing to do so in every possible way.

The Most Popular Nintendo Wii Games for Teenagers

August 10, 2008

Lorna Goldsborough asked:

seem to be the biggest group of consumers for the Nintendo Wii games. That is why so many of the them are distinctly marketed for them. As a parent it can be difficult to decide which ones they should be playing. They may like some that are rated E for everyone but chances are they will want more action.

Many with blood, shooting, and action in other forms are rated T for Teens as well as M for Mature. You will need to decide where you draw the line for each of your children. Finding out about some of the choices for the Wii in this category can help you to stay informed. Chances are though your kids in this age group will be telling you exactly what games they are the most interested in. Take the time to talk to them about them so you can get a good indication of what the options are.

The music games seem to really be impressing this age group. Of course this is the time when a career as a rock star or something else that is high profile and pays extremely well is still something they imagine. There are several Guitar Hero games with an newer version coming out later this year. It will allow more people than ever to play against each other at one time.

The Rock Band games are very popular with the teenagers who love to play the Nintendo Wii as well. This offers more instruments including the drums accessory that you can buy for them. Both of these types of games feature various songs by popular artists so take the time to explore what music your teen likes before you buy any of them.

Most teenagers are very active so they want to do it when they can. They really seem to like the Wii Fit and all the features it offers. They can spend time inside when it is cold out having a great time staying active. They can also compete against their friends in the various activities. The Wii Fit will help them to get stronger, get into shape, and even improve their balance. You can’t complain too much if your teenager is spending a great deal of time playing such games on the Wii.

Racing games are popular with any age group and that includes the teenagers. Some of them are getting very excited about getting a learners permit. Others already have their license. Yet being able to race Mario with the Mario Kart game is something completely different. Make it as much fun for them as you can by buying the steering wheel accessory for them to go with it.

Super Smash Brothers is another game with Mario in it that teenagers are very impressed with. You can choose from any of your favorite Nintendo characters including Sonic the Hedgehog. This is a type of duel events with each of the characters having their own powers and weaknesses. You will have to learn how to use the ones for the character that you are fighting with. At the same time though you will have to be prepared for the forces that your opponent is able to offer.

You will likely find that you also enjoy many of the same games as your teenagers. Take some time to play them with them. They will think you are very cool while you interact over Wii games. It can help bridge that generation gap that usually does occur. Teenagers often think they have all the answers and their parents are too old to understand. Some really fun times can come along when you spend time playing the Wii with your teenagers.

The cost of these popular Nintendo Wii games for your teenagers are going to vary. Some of them are only about $30 but the majority of them are about $60. The most expensive seems to be the Wii Fit for about $175 but that is one activity that is really worth the investment.

Safety and the Nintendo Wii

August 7, 2008

nintendo wii
Lorna Goldsborough asked:

ideo games is to be fun and so most people don’t associate safety with it. Yet the makers of the Nintendo Wii have issued some safety warnings for their products. It doesn’t mean they at they are a threat to the well being of those playing such games. However, Nintendo does want to be responsible and let the various safety concerns be known. That way both children and adults can benefit from what is has to offer as much as possible.

Research has shown that a small percentage of the population can experience seizures due to playing various types of video games. This is due to the combination of the graphics that flash on the screen in front of them. This can occur very suddenly even for individuals who have always seemed to be very healthy. It doesn’t matter how old the individual is either.

It is believed these are most likely to occur when the individual is sitting very close to the TV screen. It is also more common when a big screen TV is being used instead of a smaller one. Try to move as far back from the screen as possible while playing. Sitting there for hours can also trigger these seizures to occur as well. Limit the time that children are exposed to them without a break.

There are also some other types of health concerns to watch out for. Even if the individual doesn’t have a seizure they may be affected from the exposure. Severe headaches, twitching eyes, blurred vision, and convulsions should all be taken very seriously. If you are prone to motion sickness you may experience similar feelings playing the Nintendo Wii due to the rapid movements on the screen with some games.

Some people spend hours and hours each day playing the Nintendo Wii games. There is no doubt they can become quite addictive due to the fun and the challenges that they offer. However, there are plenty of motions that have to be repeated again and again in order to play these games for such long periods of time. This can result in pain in the fingers, hands, and wrists.

These problems can be avoided by limiting the amount of time a person plays the Nintendo Wii each day. Some people will experience early warning signs including numbness in these areas or burning sensations. It is best to stop playing at that time and take a very long break so that it doesn’t persist.

While many of the games for the Nintendo Wii are interactive, you need to survey your area first. You need to make sure you have sufficient room to complete the movements. You don’t want to injure yourself by bumping into objects or other people. Make sure your movements won’t cause anything to fall off of shelves or the walls onto you either.

Individuals who participate in such interactive Wii games need to make sure they are physically fit enough to do so. A person can easily pull a muscle or cause other harm if they aren’t ready for particular movements. Stretching before and after engaging in these games can also help to reduce the risk of injuries. Those with heart problems need to ask their doctor before they participate in these types of games.

For the most part you will find playing the Nintendo Wii to be fun and not a problem at all. However, it is very important to be aware of the various safety issues that could present themselves. Limiting the amount of time a person plays such games at one time seems to be a very good way to prevent many of them from happening.

If problems due occur make sure you seek medical attention. These problems that arise while playing the Nintendo Wii could be an early warning of a more severe medical condition. A full assessment by a medical professional can help to ensure it is kept under control.

Accessories You Can Purchase for Your Nintendo Wii

August 7, 2008

Lorna Goldsborough asked:

no doubt that the Nintendo Wii is one of the most advanced home gaming consoles around. There are certainly many more features than what you will find with other similar products. In order to be able to enjoy many of them though you will need to invest in some accessories. They are sold separately so that you only pay for those items which you will use.

To help you save money though you may consider buying bundle packs. These are groups of accessories for the Nintendo Wii packaged and sold together as one unit. You will generally find that the cost of them is less than buying each item in it separately. Of course this type of purchase will only offer you value if you will use all of the items that are included.

If you aren’t sure what all of the items in a particular bundle pack are for you need to do some research before you buy it. That way you can be sure it is something you will get some benefits from. While you will get the traditional controller with the Nintendo Wii, you may want to get a few extra ones. That way you when you have many people playing at once you can all interact at the same time. This is better than having to take turns.

There is one remote that comes with each Nintendo Wii when you purchase it. Buying an extra one can also ensure that multiple players are able to do what they need to without interruption. Do you enjoy playing racing games? Make the experience more realistic with a steering wheel and foot pedal. This will be a much better experience than pushing buttons on the controller to turn your car or to increase your speed.

Do you enjoy the various games where you shoot? Once again the Wii makes it very realistic with guns you plug into the sockets in place of the normal controllers. It makes hitting your targets easier than ever. It also allows you to feel more like you are a part of the game instead of just playing it. If you enjoy the fishing games there is a fishing pole controller as well that operates in the same way.

For a change of pace you can even plug in microphones into the game controller slots. Get ready for a night of fun with karaoke! With the Nintendo Wii you won’t be trapped in the same old routine for playing video games. You will get more of a hands on experience. It will all seem more real to you and that is part of the enjoyment that comes with playing it.

One of the common complaints people have about video games is that you have to go back to the starting levels over and over again. That can become boring when you have mastered them time and time again. Yet you must go through it to get to the part where you continue to be challenged. Now you don’t have to deal with that anymore.

Thanks to a nifty little gadget known as a memory card, you can continue on from where you left off. It is a good idea to have a memory card for each member of your household who will play the Nintendo Wii. They certainly allow players to continue where they want to instead of where the games starts from. This process will allow you to spend more time on the levels where you do feel challenged and you won’t ever be bored with a game again.

There are many different locations where you can buy these various accessories for your Nintendo Wii. They are carried at just about every retail store that offers the gaming console and games. The selection may vary by location though and be more limited in some areas than others. You can also shop online for any Nintendo Wii accessory that you can think of.

Understanding the Nintendo Wii Mii

August 6, 2008

nintendo wii
Lorna Goldsborough asked:

endo Wii games you will find many little icons that take on a life of their own. They are known as the Mii. They are what keep the scores for the games, keep your personal settings for the Wii Fit games, and help you to achieve what you want to with your various games. You can only save what has gone on in a given Wii game though with the use of a memory card.

Some people think it is silly that Nintendo took the time to name this feature. After all there have been such icons in place since the beginning of video game history. However, with Nintendo they wanted to put things on a more personal level. The name Mii is perfect too since it deals with your individualized playing concepts.

In fact, you will find there are people out there only interested in playing the Nintendo Wii home gaming console due to the Mii concept. They love it and they don’t want to go back to playing anything that isn’t personally designed for them. They don’t want to be just another number out there playing another video game. They really enjoy being a part of the game instead of just playing it.

They love the familiarity of their Mii when they are playing the games. They also get to where they recognize those of other people who are joining in the game. This was really a smart concept that Nintendo brought to life. It has gone over well with people of all ages as they feel they are a significant part of the games they are playing on the Wii.

The fact that you can personalize your Miis for the various games is part of the fun. You can be very creative or very basic. Some people have a trade mark Mii that they use on every single game. Others change it up depending on their personality or how they rate that particular game. You can learn a great deal about a person just by paying attention to their Mii on a given game.

Many people who use their Wii gaming console to connect to the internet also use their Mii as their signature in their emails. This can be very fun especially when you are communicating with those individuals who you play Wii games with all the time. They will come to recognize your Mii as you will come to recognize theirs when they send you messages.

If you are new to the concept of creating a Mii you will find all you need to do so on the Wii screens of your gaming console. One of them is called the Mii Channel and here you can do all of your personalization. It is going to take some time to get used to this new feature though. For too many years you have been given what will appear on your screen by the gaming companies.

Now you have the chance to make it what you want it to be. This is just one more way that Nintendo outshines the competition. They have gone out of their way to make as many aspects of the gaming console personalized as they can. If you aren’t personalizing your Mii though you are really missing out on some fun.

Safecracker is a Nintendo Wii Game That Will Exercise Your Brain

August 4, 2008

Lorna Goldsborough asked:

been quite a bit of buzz about the Nintendo Wii Fit which is exercise for your body. However, this home gaming console also offers some fabulous games that will exercise your mind. One of them is called SafeCracker. If you are determined to win the game without reviewing any of the cheats it is going to take you quite a while to accomplish this goal.

Make sure you have a memory card ready so you can save the word you have done. There is just no way you are going to complete this particular Wii game in one setting. It doesn’t matter if you have all day to do it either! Safecracker involves a mansion with 35 safes located in various locations throughout it.

If you love to solve puzzles and to play video games, then Safecracker for the Nintendo Wii may be just what you are looking for. You can move it along at a pace you are comfortable with. This game is going to be challenging though and it is going to exercise your mind. However, it will also provide you with hours of fun in a way you may not have experienced before with any video game you have played.

There are several levels for Safecracker so you can start out with the easier ones and work your way up. Make sure you read the directions though for all of the tips you can get. You don’t want to miss out on important clues throughout the game. Nintendo is keeping quite a lid on what the screens will be like for the game. What is known is that there will be tons of rooms in the mansion to go through.

It is highly anticipated that consumers will be extremely happy with this game though. In fact it is one of the most anticipated games for the end of 2008. This game is geared more for the adult age groups even though it will likely have a rating of E for Everyone. This is due to the fact that it won’t have any violence or other factors that can warrant a stricter rating.

The game of Safecracker itself isn’t new, just to the Nintendo world. So if you want to get a head start you can take a look around online to see what it is all about. You are encouraged though to stay away from the cheats for now. That can take some of the fun and excitement out of the game. It is recommended that you try it all on your own first. Of course not all consumers will feel this way and so that is a personal decision for you to make.

The anticipation for this particular game is already at a huge height. It won’t be offered by Nintendo until October of 2008. This means when the weather turns colder you can snuggle up inside and play the game. Maybe the fact that the snow is falling outside and it is dark so early won’t bother you as much when you have something else to focus on. Playing video games on the Wii can help you occupy your time until the warmer weather comes along and you can spend more time outside.

The estimated purchase price for the game is about $30 and it should be a very good investment. If you enjoy playing games and figuring out puzzles then Safecracker can be a very interesting game for you to play on the Wii. It certainly isn’t a game for those that want fast action and fast results though. This is a slower paced game for someone with some patience and plenty of logic. If you have played Safecracker on other gaming consoles than chances are you are eagerly awaiting the arrival of it for the Nintendo Wii. The time will go by faster than you think though as October is just around the corner.

The History of the Nintendo Wii

Lorna Goldsborough asked:

n for the Nintendo Wii was in the works as early as 2000. However, the public didn’t get a taste of the concept until mid 2004. The goal of Nintendo with this product was to revolutionize the home gaming console industry. Many consumers were very excited about the ideas but some worried that they wouldn’t be able to materialize.

Those doubts were soon cast aside though when Nintendo revealed their concept for the wireless controller at a show in Japan in 2005. In late 2006 The Nintendo Wii was in high demand. In fact, stores couldn’t get enough of them to fill the demands for the holidays. Many people were paying thousands of dollars for them on eBay and other online auction sites. There were also plenty of charity fundraisers selling high volumes of tickets due to the prize being a Nintendo Wii.

The road to such success was one that took many twists and turns though. In 2001 Nintendo released the GameCube. It was quite successful but the researchers for the company felt that so much more could be accomplished due to the technology we have available. As the same time the Nintendo DS was being finalized. Many of the concepts of these two early works though are a crucial part of the overall design of the Nintendo Wii.

It took the visions of both developers, programmers, and engineers to get the Nintendo Wii that we love today to take shape. They had a variety of concepts they needed to implement. First, they needed to make it affordable or people weren’t going to buy it no matter how good it was. Nintendo make it known from the start they wanted the Wii to be family oriented. Therefore it had to be offered at a price that the average family could afford to buy it.

Next they wanted to go beyond the basics of playing video games. They wanted to give players a chance to be a part of the game. This was different from simply enjoying playing the game. Being able to use the right tools and accessories would make a huge difference in this area. A great deal of effort was put into offering very realistic movements and graphics to allow this to happen.

Last but not least they wanted the games to be fun and interactive. They wanted parents to be willing to buy this type of gaming console without worrying that their kids would become inactive in other aspects by playing it all the time. They wanted to make sure people of all ages were going to be able to have a great time using it as well.

The name of the Wii was changed many times before it was released. One of the top names that was considered was Revolution. However, the executives of the Wii had a worldwide vision for this home gaming console. Therefore, they wanted a name that would be simple to pronounce in any given language.

Since the goal of the company was to offer something that everyone could enjoy, using the word WE in it was something that many people loved. The spelling of it was changed though to give it a more distinct element that would be connected to the Nintendo brand in the minds of consumers from all over the world. This is a marketing strategy that certainly was worked out well for Nintendo.

No one can question the success of the Nintendo Wii though. It has won many different awards in the few years it has been on the market. Since September of 2007 it has been the top selling home gaming console. Even though other companies are trying to copy the standards that Nintendo has set they haven’t been able to generate the same consumer following.

The Nintendo Wii was just released in both China and South Korea in 2008. There are plans to launch it in Morocco and the Philippines later this year or in early 2009. This is due to customer demands from those regions. Many people there already have them but they have been paying a premium price for them on the black market.

s love to play video games but we tend to become sad when we see the older games we once really loved to play are a thing of the past. The newer games are more in depth and geared towards the younger generations in most regards. However, the days of the early Mario Brothers games and others aren’t lost for owners of the Nintendo Wii. You can also start digging those tunnels once again with Dig Dug.

One of the most popular early Nintendo games was Donkey Kong. I remember spending hours playing that one! If you did as well then this is certainly one you will want to download from the Nintendo Wii virtual console. There are plenty of versions too including Donkey Kong Jr. and Donkey Kong Country.

With the virtual console offered by Nintendo Wii you can have access to them again. You can access the games that were originally made for Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, and the Sega Genesis. It is also very simple for you to download them and start playing them. Now you can have the benefits of the newer gaming console but with the games you really are nostalgic about.

In order to download them you will need to connect your Nintendo Wii to the internet. There are complete instructions for completing this process both in your instruction manual and online. You can also contact customer support if you are having trouble completing this part of the process.

Once you have completed this process you will need to use your Nintendo Wii to select the Wii Shop from the Wii menu that will be displayed on your screen. You will need to purchase points with your credit card for your Wii Points Card. Each one of these older games is going to cost a set amount of points. What points you place on your card will never expire. So you can load as much as you want on it and buy the games as you want to either now or later on.

Take a look around to see all of the games that are available. Chances are you will be familiar with a number or them. When you are ready to buy a game from the Nintendo Wii virtual console you just click it on the screen. It will quickly be downloaded and stay in your Nintendo Wii menu for future access. You will only have to purchase the game once and then you can play it all you want to.

You will be directed to the place on your Nintendo Wii files where these games are saved. That way you can easily access them whenever you want to. Chances are your children may not have played many of these games before. You can teach them how to do so and have some fun beating them for a while until they get their strategy in place.

This is just one more of the many wonderful benefits that the Nintendo Wii offers to consumers. That is why it is very true when you hear that they offer something for everyone. It doesn’t matter if you are into the older games, the newer games, or a combination of both. You will have plenty of them to access whenever you feel like taking some time out of your day for video games.

is only worth the purchase price if you get results from it. One of the biggest complaints people have when they buy something is that the customer support just isn’t there. It can be frustrating to try to get help with a product or to get your money back. Those canned automated replies to your emails aren’t effective. It can take a very long time to get a real person on the phone as well.

You won’t find those types of scenarios taking place though when you need support for your Nintendo Wii. They take great pride in offering you the personalized assistance you need. It doesn’t matter if you are ordering accessories, getting replacement parts, or you need help getting the system set up.

All of the customer service representatives are very well trained. That means they no matter who you speak with you will get results you are satisfied with. They know you have invested your money in the Nintendo Wii above other home gaming consoles offered on the market. Therefore they want to make sure you continue to be 100% satisfied with it.

You may already know that you will get free updates as they take place as well. This means if customer support is getting many customers contacting them about certain things chances will be implemented. You will see those additional features on your gaming system without anything on your end. This means you didn’t buy a product that is outdated less than a year later.

Nintendo also understands that people have varying schedules. So when you get the chance to use your Wii is going to be different from other people. That is why they offer customer support 27 hours a day, 7 days a week. You will never have to wait for the weekend to pass or until the following morning to get your needs addressed.

You will likely find the answers to many of your questions on the Nintendo Wii support site though. Here you will find things neatly arranged so you can easily find them. Are you getting error codes on your Nintendo Wii? You can enter that code on the site and it will tell you what it means. You will also get instructions to help you fix it.

You can look up repair information and order parts as well. The process is very easy helping you along the way. That way you can be sure to get the right parts you need. Have you lost your owner’s manual? No problem as you can view the materials online, print it out, or even order a new one.

There are forums where you can discuss issues about games with other people too. This is great as being stuck on a level really isn’t something for tech support to take care of. Yet you can get all the answers you are searching for from other people. You may find you have the pointers that someone needs as well. Sharing that information will make you feel great.

Parents love the resource center for them that is offered. They can easily read information about all the games offered. When children come asking for a certain game it should be looked into before a decision is made. With all of that information found in one convenient location though there is no reason why parents can’t stay very informed.

When you purchase a Nintendo Wii you can feel very confident that all of your support needs are going to be met. This is an area where you won’t feel let down at all. You are more than just a buyer of their gaming console. You are a valued customer who they want to see coming back for more.

They also value your feedback regarding your customer support experiences. They rely upon this information to help them continue to do the right things. Make sure you take the time to let them know what you found to be helpful and where you think improvements can be made. This could make your next customer service contact about the Nintendo Wii even better.

Lorna Goldsborough asked:

r one reason why people buy a Nintendo Wii is so that they can play various video games on it. However, there are many different things you can do with this home gaming console that go well beyond that. If you have one or you are considering buying one then you should know about them. That way you can get the most benefit from the money you invest in this particular product.

Probably the most useful thing you can do with it instead of playing video games is to access the internet. You can use the Wiimote to do this or you can invest in a keyboard that plugs into the USB port. While you are on the Internet Channel you can create your own games. Once you have created them you can play them on the gaming console. This can be great fun. It can also be a way for children to be very proud of themselves when their family is enjoying a game that they created.

Each Nintendo Wii comes with a sixteen digit code. This is what you will share with others who you want to join games with online. It is a very safe way for people of all ages to do so. You aren’t exchanging personal information that can let someone know who you are or where you live. That sixteen digit number is attached to your gaming console and not to anything about the owner or where it is located at.

You can also watch various movies and TV programs that are found on the internet. That includes videos from sites including YouTube. Some people have even been able to get music from iTunes to be streamed through their Wii. This isn’t something that Nintendo set up but that consumers have figured out on their own. If you are interested you can likely find the step by step directions for it online.

Many users of the Wii want to have their customized Mii just perfect. So you can spend a great deal of time creating and modifying them until you are very satisfied with the outcome. Nintendo even offers some contests where you can enter yours against other peoples. Looking at the entries can help you come up with some great ideas for your own Mii as well.

You can also use your Wii to help you get into shape. There are plenty of interactive games now where you can get your body moving. Most of them are sports related including track, basketball, and boxing. You can also do strength training and yoga to help you get your body in shape. You will be having so much fun playing these games though that you will forget you are actually getting a workout at the same time.

There are many things you can do with your Nintendo Wii instead of playing video games. While you will definitely want to do that at times there is so much more to it. The future gaming console will also have the ability to offer playing DVD’s and Blu-Ray. This means you can use it to watch movies as well. That is a great way to relax and you won’t need the space for those types of players anymore either.

Most people will agree that just for a home gaming console the Nintendo Wii is very affordable. However, when they find out all the additional features it offers they really can’t believe the low cost of it. If you are only using your Nintendo Wii right now to play video games on then you are really missing out.

Anything you need help with you can find out about online. If you can’t get the information from other Wii users then contact customer support. As long as the feature you are attempting to access is one that Nintendo has designated and approved they will be able to assist you.

are searching for a home gaming system it can be extremely difficult to decide which one to buy. You want to make sure you are going to get plenty of benefits for your investment. You won’t have to worry about that with the Nintendo Wii as it was made to be very durable and family oriented. With an initial investment of about $250 you will get the gaming console, the Wiimote, the nunchuck attachment, a sensor bar, the built in sports package with five games.

You can buy additional accessories and games separately for it. These will vary in cost depending on what you want. You will be able to use games from the Nintendo GameCube with the Wii as well. This means if you can get your hands on those games for a low price or you already own the GameCube those games aren’t going to be just collecting dust. Even many of the GameBoy games can be set up to use on the Wii. Of course the Nintendo DS games can be used as well.

The Wiimote is one of the most advanced features you will find with the Nintendo Wii. It allows you to control many different aspects of the gaming activities. You will also find the system comes with a wrist strap. This allows you to keep it handy for easy accessibility at all times.

The process of accessing the operating system is very easy as well as very organized. You will find all you need at the Wii menu. It works very similar to the idea of TV channels which people of all ages can quickly grasp. There are a variety of different channels you can access and roam around with the use of your Wiimote. They include the virtual console where you can buy older Nintendo games, the Wii Shop Channel where you can buy accessories, and the Internet Channel where you can surf the net.

There is no charge to access the internet with the Wii either which is a question that owners often have. Parents can choose a special code that allows their children to connect online. This is also a great way to control who they are playing the games online with. The issue of safety for them is at the front of everyone’s minds these days and so it should be something parents feel at ease about.

There are additional codes that parents can put in as well to the Nintendo Wii system. Do you own some games that you don’t want your younger children to play? By requiring a code to play them they won’t be able to do so when you aren’t in the room. It is important to realize that this only pertains to Wii games though. If you have other backwards compatibility Nintendo games they can still access them without your permission.

With so many amazing features you will be hooked on the Nintendo Wii as soon as you buy one. You will be able to easily set it up in no time at all. The more familiar you become with the features the more you will love it. If you still aren’t convinced find out if someone you know owns one. Ask if you can come over and spend a few hours playing it and you will soon discover you really want your own!
